Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

The Solutions Engineer supports the sales team to drive new orders and revenue by: 

• Support sales staff during the potential customer's product evaluation.    
• Understanding the problem the customer is trying to solve.   
• Implement appropriate demonstrations to fulfill the customer’s needs.  
• Play an active role in the preparation of new products for the market. 
• Support Sales with client business case development, as applicable. 
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.  
• Occasional travel 

Person Specification

• Ability to build demonstrations to present to the customer (end users, technical experts, IT experts, senior management) and internal Sales Directors. 
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Python, and databases. 
• Experience with SQL and RDBMS technology (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite). 
• Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping (ESRI, QGIS). 
• Experience with or understanding of ETL tools such Safe Software’s FME or GeoKettle. 
• Experience with any of the Cloud practices (AWS, Azure, GCP). 
• Experience with or understanding of containers or images with Docker or Kubernetes. 
• Experience with repositories (GitHub) 
• A hands-on problem solver, with ability to think on your feet and change approach as required. 
• Like to figure out things/solve interesting software problems/enjoys challenging and multiple assignments. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. 

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering or Technical subject or 5 years of technology and industry experience.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $70,000-$90,000 USD. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses or commission. 

This position will ideally be based in our Denver, CO office, and parking costs including an RTD EcoPass will be provided. We support hybrid and flexible working arrangements for all employees, though some office presence is necessary to be fully successful in this role.
