IQGeo is seeking a Software Engineer to support our Research and Development efforts for domestic and international enterprise customers. As an integral part of the Engineering department, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing IQGeo products to our customers in the Utility and Telecommunications markets. This career-launching role will join a dynamic team that builds complex applications and products that utilize software, GIS, engineering, and problem-solving skills. This role will initially immerse you in learning the product stack and allow for fast advancement within the company. Our Engineering department, with teams located in Cambridge (UK), Denver (USA), Salt Lake City (USA), and Ghent (Belgium) is responsible for designing and developing our Geospatial products. As a Software Engineer, you will be a part of the Ghent R&D Engineering team, where you will be involved in the development of our auto-design tools for planning Fiber and District Heating networks, and possible future extensions to other utility sectors (e.g., Smart Grids). The person in this role is expected to be capable of working independently, and as a team member, and should have experience working with complex software business and enterprise applications.
As an integral part of the R&D team, the successful candidate will be developing new product releases to meet the growing list of requirements for our existing auto-design products and new industry vertical applications.
