IQGeo selected by major German broadband operator

IQGeo (AIM: IQG), a developer of geospatial software that is “Building better networks” for telecom and utility operators, is pleased to announce a significant contract win with one of Germany’s leading broadband operators. This customer is a previous Comsof software user, which IQGeo acquired in August 2022.

The new expansion contract was awarded to IQGeo in a competitive bid to modernize its fibre network management software to support extensive broadband expansion plans. The initial contract has a total minimum ACV of more than €2m over a 3-year period with phase one service revenue in excess of €350k.

The customer is one of Germany’s largest and most ambitious broadband operators with plans to pass over 800k houses each year for the next six years in an effort to accelerate fiber deployment across the country. To position the organization for growth, IQGeo’s Network Manager Telecom software will replace aging GIS software to provide a single fiber network management solution. The IQGeo technology will underpin the entire network lifecycle with a digital twin of their fiber network from planning and design, to construction, and long-term operations. Project plans include the use of web-based and mobile applications to support the fiber roll-out, as-built documentation, operational process management, and integrations with a new IT infrastructure (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow).

Richard Petti, CEO, commented; “There is a significant broadband market opportunity in Germany if operators can move quickly to deploy the most innovative technology and our software is now seen as the industry leader. This major win validates the cross-sell opportunity we saw from the Comsof acquisition and illustrates the momentum we’re building across our key target markets.  We are very pleased to be working with this customer to help them achieve rapid fiber rollout success in a highly competitive market.”
