Ubisense has appointed a new team of industry and geospatial experts to help launch its geospatial business in Europe, following widespread take up of its enterprise platform myWorld by the leading utilities and communications businesses in North America and Canada.
The new team is headed up by Scott Casey, following an internal promotion to the role of Vice President of Sales Europe, who will report to a newly created role of General Manager for Europe. Scott brings more than 25 years’ experience in the communications industry to the role and has helped to successfully establish myWorld as a key platform for the communications industry in North America. Between 2011 to 2017, Scott established successful myWorld implementations with Ubisense telecom and cable industry customers in North America including Altice USA (formerly Cablevision), Cox Communications, TELUS, Zayo, AEP, and Cable One. He also launched partnerships with service providers and enterprise software leaders including Salesforce.com to expand the myWorld community. The new ‘myWorld for Salesforce’ app will soon on the AppExchange.
myWorld has seen huge success in North America, where it is now used by 30,000 individuals on a daily basis from many of the leading names in utilities and communications. Now, directly supported by Pedro Carmo, Business Developer Europe – myWorld, and Matt Jones, solution architect – myWorld, as well as partners in the DACH region and the wider Ubisense team, Scott will be seeking to achieve further successes across Europe.
Scott is an active speaker and respected thought leader within the communications industry. On Tuesday 15th May at 2:00pm, he will be participating in a Q&A session on 'Identifying Key Requirements for the Development of OSS & BSS' at TM Forum, Digital Transformation World in Nice, France. Scott and the rest of the panel will discuss the future evolution of networks and consider the resulting impacts and requirements of OSS. The panel will also look at next steps for OSS/BSS.
