Senior Delivery Consultant

IQGeo is seeking a Senior Delivery Consultant to support our software delivery efforts for domestic and international enterprise customers. This role joins a dynamic team that enjoys working with complex applications and products that utilize software, GIS, engineering, and problem-solving skills. As an integral part of the IQGeo geospatial project delivery team, the successful candidate will be a key contributor, implementing IQGeo products to our customers in the utility and telecommunications markets. The person in this role is expected to be capable of working independently, and as a team member, and should have a working knowledge of software implementation methodologies.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Gather client requirements and perform implementation design based on the analysis of those requirements.
  • Provide consulting to clients based on current operational processes and their fit with IQGeo products.
  • Develop, test, and maintain solutions built on IQGeo products
  • Build automated test scripts
  • Manage and deploy configurations
  • Deliver technical documentation of software design
  • Able to travel to client sites on occasion
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned

Required skills

Essential

  • Significant knowledge of JavaScript and HTML design and development
  • Experience with SQL and RDBMS technology (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite)
  • Experience with Linux System administration and Bash scripting
  • Experience with ETL tools, such Safe Software’s FME or GeoKettle

Desirable

  • Experience with Enterprise Integration, especially webservices
  • Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping
  • Experience with mobile application development (iOS, Android, Windows)
  • Experience with one of: Java, .Net, or Python
  • Experience with utility and/or telecoms industries
  • Experience using Git or other distributed version control system.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of technology and industry experience
