Software Delivery Consultant

IQGeo is seeking a Software Delivery Consultant to support our efforts for implementing and maintaining our software solutions for domestic and international enterprise customers. This role joins a dynamic team that enjoys working with complex applications and products that utilize geospatial software, GIS, engineering, and problem-solving skills. As an integral part of the IQGeo geospatial project delivery team, the successful candidate will contribute to implementing IQGeo products to our customers in the Utility and Telecommunications markets. The person in this role is expected to be capable of working independently, and as a team member, and should have a working knowledge of software implementation methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Gather client requirements and perform implementation design based on the analysis of those requirements
  • Providing consulting to clients based on current operational processes and their fit with IQGeo products
  • Develop, test, and maintain solutions built on IQGeo products
    Automated testing
  • Configuration management
  • Technical documentation of software design
  • Ability to travel to client sites, on occasion
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned
Required skills

Essential

  • Knowledge of Python, JavaScript and HTML design and development
  • Experience with SQL and RDBMS technology (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, client relationship, and interpersonal skills

Desirable

  • Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping
  • Experience with mobile application development (iOS, Android, Windows)
  • Experience with ETL tools, such Safe Software’s FME or GeoKettle
  • Experience with one of: Java, .Net, or Python
  • Experience with utility or telecoms industries
  • Experience using Git or other distributed version control systems

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 1 years of technology and industry experience
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
