Well, the markets obviously have quite a number of what we call alt nets in the UK. City Fiber is the largest and in the sense it's the most unique because it's pure wholesale. And being a pure wholesale model means we can consolidate in other retail alt nets and then bring our wholesale platform across them. So we are a natural consolidator. We've done two test consolidations now where we bought full networks, ingested them in and we're now geared up to do many more consolidations. Well, we're a new infrastructure provider so we're purpose -built to be the finest communications network in the UK, all ex-GS PON. So all of our systems are state-of-the-art. We profess and really work on making sure our technology is up to date. So our back office systems are modern, our integration layers are modern. We've also invested heavily in data because the key thing is data, data, data. And if you have really good data lakes or data warehouses, then you can implement things like the IQGeo's products and services which we're using across two of our core areas. So technology is critical to us. And the reason it's critical to a company like ourselves is because we're pure wholesale. So all we can do is be the best network for our service providers. And that's technology, technology, technology.
With NetLux AI, we have expanded our capabilities in line with business growth objectives. This includes supporting mass migration of our network from GPON to XGSPON and innovation around the dynamic, transactional visual inspections that are an integral part of the development of CityFibre’s flexible, AI-enabled Workflow Orchestration.

CityFibre needed to move beyond slow, manual quality audits—where QA managers could only check about 20 % of operations at up to 60 minutes per review—in order to keep pace with aggressive growth goals and deliver consistently high-quality fiber optic installations across its expanding UK network.
By deploying IQGeo's mobile app and AI-powered image analysis - NetLux AI (formerly known as *Deepomatic Lens), CityFibre now captures and evaluates every task in real time, offering instant feedback to engineers and drastically reducing repeat visits. This streamlined QC process also creates a searchable repository of build and maintenance data, giving CityFibre better visibility, control, and scalability as it rolls out flawless fiber connectivity nationwide.
In August 2025, IQGeo announced the acquisition of Deepomatic. Read the article in full on our news page.
