Requirements

Syntraal faced the challenge of meeting the increasing demand from municipalities in the Netherlands for quality district heat network designs that optimize costs and can be delivered quickly. Traditional manual design methods were time-consuming and often led to suboptimal outcomes. Syntraal needed a solution that could produce high-quality designs efficiently. 

Results

With IQGeo’s Comsof Heat software, Syntraal designed six towns quickly, reducing design time compared to manual methods. The software enabled adjustments to various parameters, resulting in customized designs for each municipality. Syntraal plans to continue using Comsof Heat for designing networks in more municipalities due to increasing demand and government pressure to reduce gas consumption.
