Private equity executive will target technologies that help telecom and utility operators manage rising network complexity and data demands
Cambridge, 8 May 2025 — IQGeo, a developer of geospatial software that is “Building Better Networks” for telecom and utility operators, has appointed Lola Le Fur as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. In this newly created role, Le Fur will work closely with investors KKR and Kestrel to lead the company’s global investment strategy, identifying and integrating specialist technologies that enhance IQGeo’s end-to-end network management offering.
As broadband rollouts and grid modernization accelerate, operators face mounting infrastructure complexity and are demanding unified solutions that support the entire network lifecycle—from planning and design to construction and field operations—while extracting actionable intelligence from the vast volumes of data these networks generate. IQGeo is meeting this demand through targeted investments that expand the functionality of its software, most recently with the planned acquisition of AI-driven computer vision specialist Deepomatic.
With a decade of experience in software investing, private equity and M&A, Le Fur has a proven track record in leading strategic transactions, managing due-diligence processes and driving post-acquisition growth initiatives in the technology sector. She started her career at Deutsche Bank as an investment banker and has previously held various software-focused investing roles at Apollo, Marlin Equity Partners and Sprints.
“IQGeo stands out as a highly verticalized solution purpose-built for the deep operational challenges of telecom and utility networks,” said Lola Le Fur, Head of M&A at IQGeo. “It’s differentiated approach makes it the only end-to-end solution supporting the full lifecycle from planning to field execution. With a strong product foundation and trusted customer relationships, IQGeo is ideally positioned to lead market consolidation.”
“Our acquisition strategy is focused on amplifying what already makes IQGeo so valuable to our customers,” said Richard Petti, CEO of IQGeo. “That means maintaining the simplicity of an integrated system with the sophistication needed to model and manage real-world networks. Lola’s appointment ensures we grow with a focused technology vision, delivering technology that drives measurable impact across the critical infrastructure our communities and economies rely on.”
IQGeo continues to broaden the scope of its software across the network lifecycle, helping telecom and utility operators to meet the infrastructure demands of the future.
