IQGeo’s AI strategy drives network data quality at Dallas Meetup

The historic Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas was the venue for the 2025 IQGeo Americas Meetup. A landmark for the city, The Adolphus Hotel provided wonderful hospitality to over 300 delegates from leading telecom and utility network operators and our engaged network of partners.

The hotel’s history stretches back more than 100 years when its founder and beer mogul, Adolphus Bush, won a long-fought battle to displace City Hall and build his opulent hotel in the center of the growing metropolis. The construction of The Adolphus Hotel was a timely reminder of how individuals and institutions have transformed our world for centuries through the power of their creativity and determination.

The technology revolution powered by fiber, renewables, and AI

In the same way that the industrial revolution and transcontinental rail networks served as the backdrop to the birth of The Adolphus Hotel, today we are in the middle of a technology revolution fed by fiber communications, renewable energy generation and AI. In his CEO keynote, Richard Petti provided insights into the significance of this change to our technical, social and environmental landscape. With the acquisition of AI computer vision software developer Deepomatic, the evolution of the IQGeo software portfolio has accelerated and diversified to enable many exciting new possibilities.

Finding the right place for AI

Richard observed that when new technology is introduced, it’s natural for people to experiment with a wide range of applications, many of which fail to be commercially viable. AI is following this same pattern as organizations seek new use cases that deliver compelling value. IQGeo is in an enviable position with our Deepomatic Lens software, having both a well proven AI product that has crossed the commercial chasm, and a powerful foundation for the development of future solutions. IQGeo’s AI-powered real-time computer vision software is used today by telecom and utility network operators around the world to ensure right-first-time fiber and utility asset deployments. We saw first-hand through customer use cases at the Meetup how companies are achieving impressive ROI as they save time and resources while improving network data quality, a key theme for the entire event.

The next tool to be deployed is AI, and keynote sessions at the Meetup laid out IQGeo’s vision with our recently announced NetLux AI, an AI model engine that will be used across the IQGeo software portfolio. This includes using Visual AI, GenAI and LLMs to constantly monitor network data for discrepancies and take action to proactively resolve issues. IQGeo is focused on this big network data discrepancy challenge and will be releasing several new capabilities in 2025 that lay the foundation for our AI vision.

Real-world impact: telecom and utility customer case studies and use cases

One of the most compelling elements of every Meetup event are the case studies presented by our customers and this year we had four wonderful keynote presentations from AT&T, Rhode Island Energy – PPL, SaskTel and Clearwave Fiber. This was an impressive mix of sessions as each of these customers are at a very different point in their technology journey and were able to share valuable insights and lessons learned about their deployments.

Interleafed throughout the case studies were IQGeo’s own short use case presentations, in which our Engineering, Product Management and Customer Success teams focused on six specific business challenges that we often encounter. In these sessions we shared our best practice on how to tackle these critical issues and the benefits they bring to technical and business operations.

Use cases presented:

  • Right-first-time network connectivity
  • Asset inspections
  • Accelerating break/fix
  • Field design and as-builts
  • Planned and unplanned work
  • Monetizing fiber networks

Training sessions and Working Groups

Back by popular demand were our best practice training sessions on day one and our technology, telecom and utility working groups on day three. Both days gave delegates the opportunity to learn more about the IQGeo software, explore our product roadmaps and provide their input on our product development priorities. The interactive training and working group sessions were designed to be valuable learning and feedback environments for customers and partners.

2025 Meetup training sessions covered:

  • Task and ticket workflow management
  • Network Manager Telecom configuration
  • Data Import/Export and API integration
  • Applying AI to field operations

“I really appreciated the opportunity to engage with team members across all levels, from the C-suite to the front lines. It clearly reflects your organization's deep commitment to the customer experience. I had a particularly insightful conversation with a young lady focused on training; she had a customer-centric approach and engaging demeanor. I'm excited to see the company investing in a centralized Customer Success function, it's a strong move toward enhancing long-term value for your clients.”

The IQGeo Customer and Partner Innovation Award winners

Each year we take a few minutes at the end of our busy keynote day to recognize those customers and partners that are pushing the boundaries of geospatial innovation with our Customer and Partner Innovation Awards. As in past years, the 2025 award winners exemplified the spirit of innovation and creativity by solving problems and creating new possibilities for their businesses and for their customers.

Our growing partner ecosystem

A special thanks to those partners that joined the Meetup and particularly to those that supported the event through their sponsorships. Over the six years since we started holding these events, our list of partners has grown from a few to a truly impressive ecosystem of global design, implementation and system integration partners. They make an extremely valuable contribution to the success of IQGeo and our joint customers and we look forward to working with them for years to come.
