Technical Implementation Specialist, EMEA

Ghent, Belgium

The technical implementation department is dedicated to enhancing the client experience through the design, implementation, and delivery of projects for IQGeo’s Web and Mobile Mapping Software for our EMEA based customers, ranging from local municipalities to international Tier 1 companies. The T.I. department sits within IQGeo’s Global Customer Services Organization while our flexible scheduling and outstanding benefits support success in a highly creative, innovative, and energetic company.

As an integral part of the IQGeo Technical Implementation Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in deploying and configuring standard, out of the box (OOTB) solutions for our customers in the Telecommunications Market. This role demands the ability to work independently and collaboratively, leveraging a working knowledge of requirements analysis, customer communication, and solution deployment and configuration.

The Implementation Specialist role is based in Belgium to support our growing European customer base. IQGeo offers Network Manager Telecom in three Editions to meet the needs of any operator, regardless of size or complexity. This role will focus on the delivery of two of these Editions (out of the box and configuration-only).

Responsibilities
  • Own and facilitate projects delivering out of the box (OOTB) products from inception to end-user delivery, including post-deployment assistance (Startup Care).
  • Conduct requirement workshops with customer subject matter experts (SMEs) and configure the solution accordingly.
  • Provide user and configuration training to end users and administrators.
  • Communicate the technical solutions effectively to customers, explaining deployment, usage, fit within the overall technology architecture, and alignment with success strategy
  • Engaging with clients to gather and analyze their requirements and iteratively adapting software configurations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client requests, concerns, and issues, and drive the resolution of any implementation or service delivery issues
  • Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering on common feature requests, bug resolutions, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the IQGeo products.
  • Collaborating with peers across the globe to identify and implement enhancements to deployment and configuration procedures.
Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience in deploying and configuring web-based software solutions. · Industry experience in Telecommunications, FTTH.
  • Expertise in requirements documentation, application development, and project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and change management skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
  • Experience in direct, customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication in English, both written and verbally.
  • Creative and problem-solving oriented thinking.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Desired 

  • Knowledge of programming, scripting, or rules-based languages.
  • Experience with GIS systems of record, such as IQGeo, ESRI, Smallworld, or QGIS.
  • Exposure to ETL tools such as, Safe Software’s FME or GeoKettle.
  • Experience with Linux System administration and bash scripting.
  • Additional language proficiency in Dutch, French, Arabic and/or German
Education and Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of comparable technology and industry experience.

This role is based out of our European offices in Ghent, Cambridge, and Germany . We do support hybrid and flexible working arrangements for all employees. We understand that life for many people involves school runs, care giving, or exercising!
