Ubisense joins FTTH Council Europe as it rolls out enterprise platform myWorld to telecom and cable service providers across Europe

Ubisense* Group plc (AIM:UBI), a global leader in enterprise location intelligence solutions, has become a member of the FTTH Council Europe, as it launches its new myWorld Fiber Planning product to telecom and cable businesses across Europe.

Ubisense will be exhibiting at the FTTH Conference 2018 taking place in Valencia February 13th to 15th 2018. On booth B22 the myWorld team will be demonstrating how leading broadband service providers across America are using the enterprise platform to accelerate FTTX and N+0 deployment, reduce time to market and improve customer service.

myWorld is already used daily by 25,000 operations and engineering professionals. Using location to deliver a real-time digital twin of a customer’s physical world, myWorld transforms the ability of infrastructure companies to manage their geographically dispersed assets by creating a single architecture for geomobile-based applications. This real-time view of operations is then shared on any device by thousands of field and office staff across departments and connects seamlessly to other critical enterprise systems.

Ubisense’s myWorld Fiber Planning is a myWorld application that automates the network infrastructure layout and optimises the design, utilizing existing infrastructure for the lowest possible costs. Developed in conjunction with a Tier 1 service provider, Fiber Planning reduces Time to Market by 10 – 20% for any size FTTX roll out. It also reduces labour costs associated with the engineering and design process by more than 40%, enables rapid adjustment to account for field changes and produces the most cost-effective standards-based designs for any scenario reducing capital costs.

Richard Petti, CEO at Ubisense, said: “We’re very pleased to be members of the FTTH Council Europe. The broadband industry is under pressure to roll-out next-generation fiber network within aggressive time frames and fixed budgets and we’re helping some of the world’s biggest telecom and cable companies to do just that. We’re looking forward to meeting delegates at the FTTH Conference to discuss their challenges and demonstrate how our solutions deliver proven ROI.”
